In the wake of dramatic shifts to everyday life caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, five projects led by HCDE researchers received rapid-response research grants from the National Science Foundation to study impacts of the pandemic and to develop resilient strategies for going forward.

	Community impact on the Seattle region HCDE Research Scientist Scott Miles and collaborators in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering are studying the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Seattle region by conducting repeating street view surveys across a broad cross-section of Seattle.
